The history of the brewery in Cvikov dates back to the year 1560 when 72 local people received a privilege from land administration, and started with unique production of wheat beer and malt. Cvikov is based in Northern Bohemia, which is characterised by beautiful mountains and vast forests. Nowadays production and product formulas are using the highest quality ingredients with innovative technologies.

Cvikov has its own restaurant located in an old Malthouse, which allows showcasing the whole portfolio. The ale is recognized as Real Bohemian Lager.  It starts with a low gravity range (8° Plato, ABV 3.7%) beer called "Glassblower“ that was originally supplied to the glassblowers in the glassworks factories, a notable industry in the Czech Republic. Thanks to this low alcohol beer, Czech workers do not have to stop drinking during work hours.
